Run log summary for the simulated night shift, 23:41 to 06:00: the shift armed at 23:41. Lights out at 00:00; five modules online at 00:30. Revenue reconciliation (REC-01) tied the ledger at 01:12 — delta 0.4%, the pending T+2 batch explained, and the morning's missing $340 found in the Shopee batch settled at 00:47. Ad anomaly detection (SIG-02) caught a +212% spend spike at 03:14 — 3.1 times the set's same-hour average — and paused the ad set under the operator's threshold rule. Inventory velocity (INV-04) flagged SKU-104 at 04:02 — 11 days of cover against a 14-day lead. Review sentiment (REV-05) flagged the phrase theme "sizing runs small", 31 occurrences over 7 days, at 04:47. The Owner Brief was written and sent at 05:30. Shift complete at 06:00: 4 signals resolved, 1 brief written, 0 humans woken. All figures simulated.

AD ANOMALY DETECTION

The four checks watched spend per ad set against its trailing 7-day same-hour average, all night. At 03:14 one set crossed 2× its baseline with the dollar floor cleared and paused itself — under the threshold rule you set; the event went to the brief. At $97 you run the checks yourself each morning; the version that acts at 03:14 unaided is the build the guide teaches. Ads that should have been paused three days ago run $2K–$8K a month.

The threshold broke, the set paused itself, the event went to the brief. Caught at 03:14, not on Friday.

A / THE GUIDE — 7 CHAPTERS + 2 ANNEXES

  1. 00

    Why ops, not ads8 min

The wrong belief, and the leverage math behind it. Where the two hours of assembly — and the round-the-clock exposure — actually go. Read it first and you'll know which of the five to build and which to skip.

  2. 01

    Revenue reconciliation · REC-0114 min

Pull, normalize, write. Connectors per channel, FX and timezone handling, the row-level tie-out, and what to do when a channel settles on T+2. You finish it knowing what 15–22 hours a month of hand-reconciling has been costing you.

  3. 02

Ad anomaly detection · SIG-0214 min

The 4 anomalies worth catching — spend spike, ROAS collapse, CPM jump, creative fatigue — how to rank them, and how to set a threshold that doesn't cry wolf. You come out able to watch 100–300 daily metrics without looking at any of them.

  4. 03

The morning brief · BRF-0314 min

The 6 sections a brief needs and the length each one gets, from the headline number down to the one-line narrative. You stop making budget calls on depleted attention.

  5. 04

    Inventory velocity · INV-0414 min

Days-of-cover against supplier lead, the 3 inputs it needs, 3 flag levels, and the acceleration check that catches a SKU before the cover number does. Catch a hero 2–3 weeks out and ground freight still fixes it; catch it late and airfreight halves the margin you were protecting.

  6. 05

    Review sentiment · REV-0516 min

Pull, classify, route. Turning scattered reviews into phrase themes, and deciding which theme is a product problem rather than a bad week. On a 200-review base, 18 unanswered 1-stars take a 4.8 below 4.5 and cost you the top-rated badge. This is how you see them on day 1.

  7. 06

    Putting it together12 min

The whole stack in one picture, the rollout order, and the monthly running cost totalled line by line. Plus 8 named pitfalls — the chapter to read before you build, not after.

  8. A1

    The Single-Channel Cut16 min

One store, one ad platform. The payout tie-out that becomes chapter 01's job — Shopify payout vs order ledger vs bank deposit, to the cent. Plus the re-cut build order, SIG-02's floors walked at $5–15K/mo of spend, and every route collapsed into one inbox. Chapter 00 routes you here if this is you.

  9. A2

    Above $150K/mo — the annex11 min

The staffed cut. Who builds, who runs, who gets paged, who audits — the 5 modules across 4 seats, every escalation window in one table, and the brief as a record instead of a to-do list. The founder's job: read the brief, own nothing else.

B / THE TOOLKIT — 7 FILES

  • XLSXROI calculator. Your hours, your rates, your channel count. Tells you what the 5 modules are worth on your numbers before you build any of them.
  • CSVLead-time table. One row per SKU: velocity, stock on hand, supplier lead, days of cover. Fill it once and you'll know which SKU goes dark before your supplier tells you.
  • ICSLead-time audit. A calendar invite that makes you re-check supplier leads on a schedule, because a stale lead time is the flag that fails silently.
  • PDFOwner Brief template. The A4 fillable version of the brief on this page. Fill it by hand for a week first — that week tells you which sections you actually read.
  • PDFRun Log template. What ran, what it found, what it did. So when you wake to a paused ad set, you can see why without re-deriving it.
  • PDFModule cards. One card per module: inputs, checks, outputs, failure modes. The spec you build against, so a half-built module is obvious instead of quietly wrong.
  • PDFAnomaly thresholds. The decision tree for setting a threshold per ad set, and for deciding when a breach pauses versus when it only reports. Set it too tight and you'll have muted it by week two.

Direct margin only. The guide details 4 further costs on a stockout — wasted ad spend to a dead page, lost customers, marketplace ranking, review decay.

Ad leak is deliberately not in this total. Chapter 02 puts it at $6K–$24K a quarter for a brand at $100K/mo, but it scales with ad-set count rather than spend, and multiplying it here would invent a precision the figure doesn't have.

ANNEX // BEFORE YOU BUY

THE SMALL PRINT

What it won't do, and what happens if you want your money back.

A / FIT

THIS IS FOR YOU IF

  • You run a DTC brand at $30K–$500K a month. One channel or five — the single-channel build order ships as an annex in the guide.
  • Nothing says who owns what — whether "who" is five people or just you. There's an annex for each.
  • Your morning starts with numbers that don't tie — channel against channel, or payout against bank.
  • You can give it a weekend. 119 minutes to read, 20 minutes to the first ledger check.
  • You'd rather own the files than rent another dashboard.
  • You'll run one module for a week before wiring the next.

THIS IS NOT FOR YOU IF

  • You're pre-revenue. The method reads from live numbers, and you don't have them yet.
  • You want someone else to build it. That's The Night Shift at $997.
  • You came for ad creative or media buying. Nothing here writes a hook.
  • You expect the $97 tier to run itself. It's a method and a set of templates. The wiring is yours.
  • Your stack looks nothing like Shopify, Shopee, TikTok Shop or Meta. The mechanism carries over; the worked examples won't.

B / QUESTIONS

Everything on this page says SIMULATED. Has any of it run for real?

Yes. What's simulated is the data, not the method. Settlement rows, ad spend, stock cover and review text are confidential to the brand they belong to, so every figure on this page is a stand-in: the ledger, the spend spike, the SKU, the review count.

The mechanism and the thresholds are the ones that ran. The specimen brief is what a real night produces, with the numbers swapped out.

Who wrote this?

An operator, from running it. The modules on this page ran on live DTC operations before any of this was a PDF.

That's also why the figures here are simulated rather than screenshotted. The work is real and the numbers belong to someone else.

Do I need to be technical?

Not to run it. The toolkit is Sheets and PDFs — no code in any of it — and every check runs by hand off the thresholds card from the first morning. Automating it is a separate step: the guide teaches that build on n8n, and the pre-wired workflows are the Module Library, still in production.

My stack isn't Shopify, Shopee or TikTok Shop. Does it still work?

The method is shaped around channels that export settlements, not around those three names. Any channel with a settlement report and a date column runs the same tie-out. The worked examples use what we've run, so you'll be translating column names rather than following along.

How long until something is actually running?

119 minutes to read the guide. About 20 minutes after that to your first ledger check. Then one module a week — reconciliation first, because everything downstream reads from those numbers. Selling on one store? The single-channel annex re-cuts that order and starts you on a payout tie-out instead.

Is this a subscription?

No. One payment, and the files are yours. Nothing on this page renews, and the only thing on sale today is the $97 method.

What's above the $97, and when can I buy it?

At $97 you get the method and build it yourself. Above it sit Build Sessions (every module built on screen) and the Module Library (the five workflows already wired, about 2 hours to import instead of five weekends). Neither is released — they're in production, and the range card takes your address rather than your money.

When the Module Library ships it'll be wired for Shopify, Shopee, TikTok Shop and Meta, with each workflow running only the channels you switch on — a Shopify-plus-Meta stack imports the same files with the marketplace pulls switched off. Amazon, Google Ads, Lazada and subscription platforms won't be wired; the guide teaches the connector pattern, but that's a build, not a toggle. If most of your revenue runs through those, the $97 is the tier for you either way.

The $97 counts toward whatever you buy later. Ask to be told when it ships and name the channels you run — that's what decides which connector gets wired next.

What happens after I pay?

An email with one signed link to your vault, keyed to the address you paid with. It opens for 12 months. Everything inside is a download. Sheets and PDFs on your own drive, not a login you have to keep.
